Freight Fate Carriers

Every company driver in Freight Fate works for one of these carriers, chosen when the career starts. They all supply the truck and pay its running costs. They differ in how the wage plan is weighted and in what dispatch sends you.

Compare the carriers

Wage plan and dispatch for each carrier
CarrierPay sharePer-mile floorStop payOn-time bonusDispatch
Great Lakes Training Transport33 percent74 cents a mile225 dollars a load2 percentMore short training loads, more appointment slack
Northstar Freight Lines36 percent82 cents a mile175 dollars a load4 percentBalanced dispatch
Prairie Link Regional34 percent95 cents a mile130 dollars a load3 percentMore same-region lanes, more longer lanes
Summit Value Logistics38 percent78 cents a mile150 dollars a load6 percentMore longer lanes

Each load pays the larger of the wage floor and the pay share. How company pay works.

How company pay works

Each load pays the larger of two amounts: the wage floor, which is the stop pay plus the per-mile floor for every mile driven, or the pay share, a percentage of what the load itself pays. Delivering on time adds the on-time bonus on top.

Dispatch trust pays as well. A reputation above where you started earns up to 6 percent more of the load's pay, the full amount at a reputation of 100.

When dispatch sends you empty to another city, that reposition pays 60 percent of your per-mile floor. Bobtailing to a nearby city on your own pays nothing.

What the carrier covers

The carrier supplies the tractor, fuel, repairs, trailer, authority, and insurance. Your settlements are your wages and bonuses.

Equipment as you level

You do not choose a tractor. The carrier assigns one from the fleet tier your level has earned:

  • Level 1 and up: yard standard
  • Level 4 and up: regional fleet
  • Level 9 and up: long-haul fleet
  • Level 13 and up: premium fleet
  • Level 17 and up: first pick of the yard

A poor driving record, a license problem, or money you owe can hold your equipment back below the tier your level earns until it clears.

Carrier-sponsored training

Your carrier pays for these courses when you reach the level:

  • Level 2: flatbed securement and refrigerated certificates
  • Level 3: heavy-haul certificate
  • Level 4: high-value certificate
  • Level 16: tank vehicle endorsement

You can pay for one of these courses yourself to hold it sooner.

Doubles, hazmat, LCV, manual transmission, and TWIC port card are never sponsored by level; only their own course earns them.

Becoming an owner-operator

From level 18 you can buy in as an owner-operator, leased on to your carrier, or stay a company driver by choice. An owner-operator owns the truck and pays its running costs.

A career can also start as an owner-operator from day one, leased on to Northstar Freight Lines.
